Rada annuls license for trade with wine for companies using own wine materials

The UAH 500,000 license for wholesale trade with wine and honey beverages made using own wine materials (not bought) are annulled for some companies.

Bill No. 2739 was backed in its second reading by 230 MPs.

The document introduces the notion of honey beverages and wine materials. Honey beverages are beverages made of pure honey. If fortified honey beverages are made, ethyl spirit is added to them.

One of the authors of the document – MP Andriy Vadatursky – said that the annulment of the license for companies that use own materials in production will help to develop production of terroir and fruit and berry wine, honey beverages.

Chairperson of the parliamentary committee for tax and customs policy Nina Yuzhanina said the license for craft beer makers should be annulled as well.
