Ukraine increases capacity of coal handling via ports to 700,000-720,000 tonnes per month
Ukraine has increased the capacity of coal transshipment through seaports to 700,000-720,000 tonnes per month, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Ihor Nasalyk has said in Kyiv.
"I can say with confidence that if we are blackmailed and not sent coal from the ATO zone - we can cope with this. I held a meeting with the ports. We already have the possibility of importing coal in the amount of 700,000-720,000 tonnes per month. That's enough to do without [delivery from the ATO zone]," he said.
Nasalyk added that in the case of anthracite shortage there is a plan to use gas.
