Fall in industrial production in Ukraine in July slows to 0.2%
Industrial production in Ukraine in July 2016 decreased by 0.2% compared to the same month of 2015, while in June the decline was 3.4%, the State Statistics Service said on Monday.
The service introduced a new form of presentation of data, adjusted for calendar days. In this respect, industrial output in July 2016 from July 2015 increased by 0.9% against a 2.9% decrease in June.
In the seven months of 2016 the growth in the industry slowed to 1.7% from 2.0% at the end of June, 3.1% at the end of May, and 3.7% at the end of April.
The State Statistics Service said that industrial production in July 2016 from June 2016 grew by 7.0%. If the seasonal factor is taken into consideration, the growth was 4%.
The agency recalled that there was a 19% decline in January-July 2015 compared to January-July 2014.
Last year Ukraine saw a 13.4% decline in industrial production from 2014. The decline in 2014 was 10.1%, the year 2013 saw a 4.7% decline, and industrial production fell by 0.5% in 2012.
