IMF supports Fiscal Service in dispute with Finance Ministry on database administration
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) considers the transfer of the right to taxpayers' database administration from the State Fiscal Service to the Ministry of Finance to be incorrect, Fiscal Service Head Roman Nasirov has said.
"The Ministry of Finance is engaged in politics, while the Fiscal Service in administration. It is clear that databases are administration. The IMF believes this is absolutely incorrect - in all the countries of the world taxpayers' database administration are carried out by tax authorities," he said at a briefing.
As reported, the Finance Ministry developed draft amendments to the Tax Code, which, among other things, provided for the transfer of the methodology and administration of all databases to the Finance Ministry.
