Ukraine, Indonesia to enhance cooperation in education, student exchange
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the framework of the state visit to Indonesia has discussed the issues of trade and economic cooperation and educational contacts with Head of the Yogyakarta Sultanate Hamengkubuwono X.
"The parties exchanged views on the development of trade and economic cooperation between Yogyakarta and the regions of Ukraine. Special attention was paid to deepening cultural, humanitarian and educational contacts. The sides agreed to strengthen cooperation between the universities of the two countries, exchange of students, including for studying Ukrainian and Indonesian languages," the press service of the Ukrainian president said.
Poroshenko and his counterpart also agreed to step up cooperation within the framework of UNESCO, including in the context of preserving the World Heritage sites under the auspices of this organization.
The Ukrainian president invited the sultan to visit Ukraine.
