Ukrgazvydobuvannia slightly increases gas production in Jan-June

Public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia saw a 0.4% rise in natural gas production in January-June 2016 year-over-year, to 7.308 billion cubic meters, the company's press service has reported.

The press service said that oil and gas condensate production reached 248,000 tonnes and this was 3.3% down year-over-year.

Shebelynka gas refinery refined 246,900 tonnes of gas and this was 10.3% up year-over-year. Light petroleum products output at the enterprise grew by 9.3%, to 213,900 tonnes.

As reported, Ukrgazvydobuvannia in 2015 reduced gas production by 3.9% compared to 2014, to 14.528 billion cubic meters. In the past year the company also produced 511,579 tonnes of oil and gas condensate, which is 4.1% lower than in 2014. Production of liquefied gas amounted to 172,626 tonnes, sale of light petroleum products stood at 390,034 tonnes.

Ukrgazvydobuvannia, 100% owned by Naftogaz Ukrainy, is the largest gas producing company in the country, providing about 75% of total gas production in Ukraine.

The company also operates the Shebelynka gas refinery.
