Communications regulator denies issue of extra license to ex-president of Kyivstar Lytovchenko
The National Commission for Communications Regulation (NCCR) has decided not to issue a license for an additional frequency band in Ukraine (radio communications in multi-channel systems to broadcast and re-broadcast television picture, sound and digital information) to Intellectual Communications LLC (Intelltelecom, the Giraffe brand, Kyiv).
The commission said after a meeting held on June 29 that the license was not issued, as a decision to issue a permit for this frequency band was made earlier.
According to the public register, recently the founder and ex-president of Kyivstar mobile communications operator Ihor Lytovchenko became the owner of Intellectual Communications via Cyprus-based Magnilda Holdings Limited.
