NCER raises forecast wholesale electricity price by 6-13% for Q3-Q4, 2016
The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) has increased the forecast wholesale market price of electricity for the third and fourth quarters of 2016 by 6-13%, the press service of the regulator has told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to the decision, the forecast wholesale market price of electricity for the third quarter grew by UAH 78.55, to UAH 1,358.83 per MWh, for the fourth quarter by UAH 171.94, to UAH 1,490.63 per MWh (excluding VAT).
Changes are made by adjusting NCER decree No. 721 dated April 28, 2016.
As reported, decree No. 721 was approved after the introduction of a new order of forming the forecast wholesale market price of electricity. The wording of decree No. 721, approved in late April, provided for the annual growth of the forecast wholesale market price of electricity by 13.6% (December 2015 to December 2016).
