SPF: Centrenergo privatization postponed for Q1 2017
The privatization of 78.3% of shares in electricity generating company Centrenergo has been postponed for the first quarter of 2017, according to the materials of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) presented by SPF Head Ihor Bilous at the Ukraine-Canada Business Forum held in Toronto on June 20.
He said that the possibility of selling Centrenergo's three thermal power plants separately is being discussed.
According to the presentation, the fund intends to put state-owned shares in Khmelnytskoblenergo and Ternopiloblenergo, Odesa and Kherson combined heat and power plants up for sale in Q3 2016.
Stakes in Kharkivoblenergo, Zaporizhiaoblenergo, Mykolaivoblenergo, Cherkasyoblenergo, Dniprodzerzhynsk and Mykolaiv combined heat and power plants and Sumykhimprom will be put up for sale in Q4 2016.
Bilous said that Hungarian, Australian, Indian and Ukrainian companies have shown their interest to the regional electricity supply companies. He urged Canadian investors to join privatization in Ukraine.
