The National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) has increased cold water and sewage tariffs by 15-35%, Commission Head Dmytro Vovk has said.
The decision was made by the commission in Kyiv on Thursday.
"The increase of the tariffs depends on the concrete enterprise and varies from 15% to 35%. The key factors influencing the tariff increase: reduction of supplies, a necessity of taking into account the funds to check water meters in the tariff, changes of the electricity tariffs and change of minimum wages and local taxes," Vovk said.
He recalled that the draft resolution was posted on the regulator's website 20 day before the issue was discussed by the commission.
