Portugal to grant EUR 200,000 to Ukrainian Defense Ministry
The government of Portugal has approved the decision to allocate EUR 200,000 of financial aid to the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said following a meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Jose Alberto Azeredo Lopes, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
"In particular, this refers to assistance in the military technical sphere, treatment of servicemen injured during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO), and military training," reads a post on the ministry's website.
The press service also reported that the Ukrainian defense minister thanked his counterpart for the support and expressed the hope for the extension of cooperation between Portugal and Ukraine in future.
In turn, the Portuguese defense minister stressed that Portugal would support the Ukrainian issue which is to be considered during the upcoming Warsaw NATO Summit.
