Ukrspyrt could be privatized by late 2016 – SPF head
The state enterprise Ukrspyrt could be privatized by late 2016, Head of Ukraine's State Property Fund (SPF) Ihor Bilous has reported.
"We will be ready to take this enterprise and organize the sale of all distilleries by the end of this year if we are lucky," he said on Channel 5 TV late on Monday.
He said that a bill drawn up jointly with the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry regulating the privatization procedure has been finalized and ready for being submitted to the Ukrainian prime minister.
Ukrspyrt is the largest producer of alcohol and alcohol-containing products in Ukraine. Its total production capacity is more than 30 million decaliters of produce per year. The work of the state enterprise is provided by 41 production facilities.
Ukrspyrt is managed by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine.
