Farm produce output in Ukraine shrinks by 1.3% in five months
Farm produce output in Ukraine, excluding the annexed Crimea and occupied Donbas, shrank by 1.3% January through May 2016 from the same period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine has reported.
Over the period under review, agri-businesses reduced production by 0.5%, while private farms saw a 2% decline in production.
In May 2016 alone, farm produce output climbed by 0.1% year-over-year.
As was reported earlier, farm produce output in Ukraine in 2015 fell by 4.8% from 2014. Agri-businesses saw a 5.1% decline in production, while private farms cut output by 4.3%.
