Groysman instructs Nasalyk to draft measure not to allow regional power companies to extort bribes from businessmen
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has instructed Deputy Prime Minister and Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk to draw up a measure that would make impossible frauds of regional electricity supply companies with prices for connecting businessmen to the power grid.
"Some regional electricity supply companies set too high a price for power grid connection and then extort bribes from businessmen… I instructed the profile deputy prime minister to draw up a cabinet resolution that would make this abuse of power impossible," the prime minister wrote on his Facebook page.
Groysman said that businessmen who have information about abuse of power should inform the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the government to have quick reaction to these infringements.
