State Fiscal Service chief opposes tax amnesty in 2016
Chief of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov has said that tax amnesty should not be announced in 2016.
"I was in the parliamentary committee when the so-called tax compromise, which in fact is a tax amnesty, was approved. It was necessary. We had to draw a line. It is very difficult to do this now as such action could be interpreted as a wrong signal – tax amnesties [will be held] every year," he said during the Swedish-Ukrainian Business Forum in Kyiv on Monday.
Nasirov added that he supports the idea of pre-trial settlement of disputes between businesses and tax authorities.
