Head of the parliamentary committee for healthcare Olha Bohomolets opposes relaxation of the medicine quality confirmation procedures.
"I oppose the mitigation of control over the quality of medicines. The quality of medicines is vitally important. The quality and affordability of medicines for Ukrainians should be under control of the state," she told Interfax-Ukraine, asked about the possibility of relaxing the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance procedures on Wednesday during her visit to the new Interchem laboratory and industrial complex (Odesa).
Bohomolets pointed out the systemic feature of the new enterprise, its microbiological laboratory equipped in line with best international standards and the medicine quality examination laboratory. She said that the provision of conditions for creation of similar laboratories in Ukraine is the important task of the state.
As reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman on May 17 opened the new Interchem laboratory complex in Odesa.
