NBU doubles cash currency issue limit from bank client accounts
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has permitted banks clients to remove cash in foreign currency and bank metals worth up to UAH 100,000 a day from accounts. The previous limit was UAH 50,000 a day, the regulator has reported on its website.
The decision is outlined in NBU resolution No. 342.
"Now banks clients can remove cash denominated in foreign currency and bank metals worth up to UAH 100,000 a day from their accounts instead of UAH 50,000 a day. The limit for issuing cash in the national currency was lifted, while earlier it was UAH 500,000 a day," the bank said.
The regulator said that the decision would help to more restore trust to the banking system and boost inflow of deposits both in hryvnias and foreign currency.
