Tymoshenko demands energy regulator stop considering rise in heat, hot water rates
Member of Parliament, leader of the Batkivschyna Party Yulia Tymoshenko demands that the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) stop considering an increase in heat and hot water tariffs for households.
Tymoshenko, who arrived at the NCER meeting on Thursday, said that the company had been formed under a presidential order, which is not lawful and the regulator works outside of the law, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.
"The first thing you must do now is to stop the consideration of issues to set heat and water rates, as you've failed to fulfill your obligations and did not set gas tariffs," she said.
She said that it is unlawful when the Cabinet of Ministers sets gas tariffs.
"Everything you've been doing now will be challenged in court," she said.
