Construction of wi-fi network in Kyiv subway to finish by late 2017
A project to build the wi-fi network in Kyiv Metropoliten being realized by Fidomobile (under the Mosquito-Mobile brand) should be completed by late 2017, Director of Kyiv Investment Agency Oleh Mistiuk has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"By the end of 2017 the subway is to finish the project. A delay for almost one year was due to revision of the blueprints and a desire to do everything well," Mistiuk said, adding that there is access to wi-fi at nine subway stations now.
He believes that the decision made by the National Bank of Ukraine on May 20, 2016 to place Fidobank to the list of insolvent banks would not affect the Fidomobile's project to build the wi-fi network in Kyiv Metropoliten. However, the bank could resale the project.
He said that the project is attractive from the point of marketing.
"We have survived the risky period. The project has proven its relevance," he said.
