State Aviation Service to challenge court decision allowing UIA have permits for flights
Ukraine's State Aviation Service will challenge a decision of the district administrative court in Kyiv that orders the service to ignore the debt of Ukraine International Airline (UIA, Kyiv) for government charges when the service issues permits for flights.
The authority said in a press release on May 27 the court ruling creates preferences for one airline on the market.
The district administrative court in Kyiv on May 25 ordered the State Aviation Service to ignore the debt of UIA when issuing permits for flights.
UIA was contesting changes in the order of providing rights to flights in the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, asking to ban the aviation service from considering UIA's debt to the aviation special fund.
UIA President Yuriy Miroshnikov noted the views of the company and the aviation service with respect to the said debt differ, and these disputes are being resolved in courts.
