The death of seven pigs has been recorded from May 3 to May 10 in a private household in Hirchychna, Khmelnytsky region.
Ukraine's State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service said on Thursday that biosecurity service specialists tested the biological material. African Swine Fever (ASF) virus was revealed. The household had 14 pigs.
Specialists are coordinating measures to prevent ASF spreading.
Since early 2016, eight ASF cases have been recorded in Poltava, Odesa, Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad regions.
