Public joint-stock company Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil producer, saw net loss of UAH 510.026 million in January-March 2016 compared to UAH 1.95 billion of net profit a year ago.
The company said that net revenue in Q1 2016 decreased by almost 61.5% or UAH 4.86 billion year-over-year, to UAH 3.122 billion, and gross profit halved (by UAH 1.605 billion), to UAH 1.669 billion.
Ukrnafta sold UAH 1.828 billion worth of oil (305,221 tonnes) in Q1 2016 compared to UAH 3.47 billion (519,227 tonnes) in Q1 2015, as well as UAH 711.615 million worth of ammonia (135,347 tonnes) compared to UAH 961.151 million (267,474 tonnes) in Q1 2015.
The company said that as of March 31, 2016 unpaid tax liabilities of the company totaled UAH 10.046 billion.
Naftogaz Ukrainy owns a 50% plus one share stake in Ukrnafta, a group of companies associated with the shareholders of PrivatBank (Dnipropetrovsk) holds about 42% of the shares.
