Rada to enact 'de-offshorization' legislation in near future - MP
The Verkhovna Rada soon will draw up a well-worked bill allowing levying all incomes in Ukraine, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada commission for tax and customs policies (the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction), Nina Yuzhanina, has said.
"Ukrainian legislation does not ban management or ownership of an offshore company. But civil servants cannot be top managers of these companies. As for other bans, I do not know. If information about offshore companies was published after assets were declared, I would say information that does not coincide with information provided in the declarations should be checked," Yuzhanina said.
She said Ukraine's parliament should draw up a well-worked law that would allow imposing taxes on all incomes in Ukraine, adding that so-called "de-offshorization" draft bills would be passed in the near future.
