Poroshenko predicts economic rise in Ukraine despite Russia aggression
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said he hopes for an economic growth in the country despite Russia's aggression.
"Unfortunately, we have another tendency. I think it is very good that even in war times, even under conditions of aggression, when the country has to spend 5% of GDP or almost 25% of state budget means for defense and security, we find an opportunity to finance roads, medical establishments not forgetting about culture and spirituality," Poroshenko said speaking to Poltava citizens on Saturday.
He added that despite the conflict in the east of Ukraine, the country holds necessary reforms, and IMF makes positive economic forecasts.
"We restored a GDP growth," the president said adding that the state will move forward with the reforms.
