Deputy Prime Minister Rozenko hopes to introduce three-tier pension system in 2016
Pension reforms providing for the introduction of a three-tier support system will be backed lawmakers this year, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko has said.
"The pension reform issue is one of the priorities of the government. In fact, there is only one unified pension system operating in Ukraine now. In the current crisis it cannot meet the expectations and needs of retirees in full," Rozenko said.
He expressed hope pension reforms would take place this year and Ukrainians would be able to receive their pension from three sources: the unified system, cumulative and non-state pension insurance.
Rozenko also said that the government-had prepared draft laws and submitted them to parliament to ensure the functioning of the three-tier pension system.
