Ukraine's NPPs cut power generation by 6.2% in four months of 2016
Nuclear power plants (NPP) in Ukraine in January-April 2016 decreased electricity generation by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2015, to 29.094 billion kWh, the press service of Zaporizhia NPP has said.
According to its data, in the first four months of this year electricity production at Zaporizhia nuclear power plant amounted to 11.365 billion kWh (a 10.1% fall), Yuzhnoukrainsk nuclear power plant 5.214 billion kWh (a 16.2% fall), Rivne nuclear power plant 6.844 billion kWh (a 0.7% rise), Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant 5.672 billion kWh (a 6% rise).
In April 2016 production of electricity decreased by 14.1% compared to the same month last year, to 6.25 billion kWh.
As reported, state enterprise Energoatom in 2015 reduced electricity production by 0.8% compared to 2014, to 87.840 billion kWh, sales by 0.8%, to 82.562 billion kWh.
