U.S. court bans UMH from using Forbes brand in Ukraine
A court in the U.S. has banned UMH media holding to use the Forbes brand in Ukraine, Forbes.ua has said.
Earlier media reports said that a court in the U.S. banned the Ukrainian company to use the Forbes brand and trademark in printed media, online resources or mobile applications. Censorship and violation of principles of independent journalism were grounds for the decision.
Forbes.ua wrote on its Facebook page that the publication team denies censorship and linked the court decision with the fact that U.S. sanctions are imposed on the owner of the publication.
Forbes.ua said that the holding has the right to publish Forbes Ukraine until any decisions of foreign courts are recognized in Ukraine.
