Ministry: Ukrainian government earmarks funds for Crimean Tatar ATR TV
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has passed a resolution providing financial support to Crimean Tatar ATR television, the press service of the Information Policy Ministry has reported.
The financial support is provided to pay for the satellite communications services and a part of the debt for these services accumulated since February 2014, leasing and purchase of TV equipment, office rent rates and authorship royalties.
Information Policy Minister Yuriy Stets at a government meeting on March 10, 2016 proposed allocating UAH 5 million to pay the debt of Crimean Tatar ATR television to Sweden's SES ASTRA AB (Astra A4 satellite).
