Wages of Ukrainian officials will be raised by 10% from May 1 - Social Policy Minister
The wages of Ukrainian officials from May 1, 2016 will be increased by 10%, Minister for Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko has said.
"In general, officials' wages at the first phase will be increased by 10%. Executives will be entitled to charge premiums to employees for outstanding achievements, additional load and length of service," he said at a cabinet meeting.
Rozenko noted that in such a way "we are actually moving to a European model of remuneration to civil servants." The first stage of the reform begins from May 1, 2016 and ends in 2018 with the entry into force of the law on civil service.
In particular, according to this law, a three-tier system with the differentiated of jurisdiction of state agencies will be introduced.
"It is divided into three categories: the territory of Ukraine - ministries and central authorities, the territory of one or several regions, the territory of one or several districts. Each category has nine wage groups," Rozenko said.
