Passenger car market in Ukraine 50% up in three months
The sales of new passenger cars in Ukraine increased by 98.2% in March compared to the same month in 2015, to 4,891 units, which allowed the market in the first quarter to grow by 50%, according to AUTO-Consulting.
At the same time, according to analysts, not all dealer networks were able to take advantage of the positive dynamics of the auto market.
The leader in March was Toyota, occupying 12% of the market (sold 596 cars against 357 cars in February), going ahead of Renault, the leader in February when it sold 511 cars.
"The sensation of this season was the third place of BMW in the market (in February it ranked eighth). The Bavarian concern occupied 5.6% of the Ukrainian car market and managed to beat more affordable competitors. Such a high rate at BMW was recorded for the first time in the history of monitoring the car market," the experts said.
At the same time, they stressed that the sales of almost all brands of the premium segment are growing, except for Mercedes-Benz (in March it ranked 14th against the ninth place in February) and Lexus.
