Avangard, the largest producer of eggs in Ukraine, in 2015 posted a net loss of $158.39 million, which is almost six times more than in 2014.
According to a company report posted on the website of the London Stock Exchange, its consolidated revenue for the past year declined to $229.9 million against $419.6 million in 2014.
In particular, export sales brought the company $94.8 million or 41% of consolidated revenues. A year earlier the figure stood at $156.7 million (37%).
The gross profit of Avangard in the past year decreased by 5.5 times, to $22.13 million, operating loss was $87.1 million against $84.12 million in operating profit a year earlier. The company's EBITDA in 2015 was negative and amounted to $1.417 million.
Avangard is a vertically integrated holding company, specializing in the production of eggs and egg goods. It is the largest player in the Ukrainian egg market.
