Boryspil airport sees 11% rise in passenger flow in Jan-Feb
Boryspil International Airport (Kyiv), the largest airport of the country saw an 11% rise in passenger flow in January and February 2016, to 984,000 people, the press service of the airport has told Interfax-Ukraine.
The press service said that in February 2016 the number of transit passengers grew by 2.6 times year-over-year, to 129,000.
In February 2016, the Boryspil airport serviced 463,000 passengers, which is 20% up year-over-year.
Acting Director General of Boryspil International Airport Yevhen Dykhne said that in January and February 2016 the airport saw a 50% rise in the number of transit passengers.
Boryspil International Airport is the main airport of Ukraine. The airport has two runways: one with a length of 4,000 meters and a width of 60 meters, and the second with a length of 3,500 meters and a width of 63 meters. Four passenger terminals and a postal and cargo complex are located on the territory of the airport.
