Trilateral meeting on gas issues to be held in March – Ukraine's energy minister
The trilateral meeting of representatives of the European Commission, Russia and Ukraine will be held in March, Ukraine's Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn told reporters following the government meeting on Wednesday.
"This meeting will definitely be held before the end of this month," he said.
Demchyshyn went on to clarify that the European Commission is expected to send its proposals on the date of the meeting to Russia and Ukraine and the meeting will be scheduled as soon as the date is agreed upon.
The whole bundle of gas issues will be on the agenda of the meeting, including the transit of Russian natural gas via Ukraine and Ukraine's purchases of the Russian commodity, Demchyshyn said.
These issues have already been discussed with Ukraine's prime minister and president, he added.
