Industrial production in Ukraine 1.7% down in Jan 2016
The fall in industrial production in Ukraine in January 2016 compared to the same month of the previous year slowed down to 1.7% from 2.1% in December 2015 and 4.9% in November 2015, the State Statistics Service has reported.
According to a new reporting form, the agency said that adjusted to the number of calendar days, industrial production in January this year compared to January 2015 declined by 1.4%.
According to the State Statistics Service, in January 2016 compared to December 2015 industrial production fell by 18.6%, and taking into account the seasonal factor by 2.4%.
The agency said that the seasonal adjustment of dynamics of the industrial production index was carried out through the Demetra+ program, using the TRAMO/SEATS method.
The service added that the decrease in January 2015 compared to January 2014 was 20%, while industrial production as a whole over the past year fell 13.4%, while in 2014 by 10.1%, in 2013 by 4.7%, and in 2012 by 0.5%.
