Lifecell to sell all towers to Ukrtower for $52 mln
Lifecell mobile operator will carry out a deal on the sale of 811 towers to install telecoms equipment to Ukrtower within Turkcell Group (Turkey) for $52 million (plus taxes), Turkcell reported on its official website.
This decision was approved by the Turkcell board of directors.
Both aforementioned companies are subsidiaries of Turkcell.
In addition, the press service of Lifecell said the board of directors allowed to increase the charter capital of Ukrtower for the acquisition of towers.
Under the terms of the deal, later the mobile operator will rent these towers from Ukrtower.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, the net profit of Ukrtower in 2014 amounted to UAH 6.433 million, net income came to UAH 114.831 million.
Ukrtower was established in 2008, it provides services for the placement of telecommunications equipment for operators all over Ukraine.
In 2015, Turkish Turkcell concentrated 100% of Astelit operator (later it was renamed as Lifecell).
