Ukraine's Aviation Service suspends security certificate of Uzhgorod airport
The State Aviation Service of Ukraine from February 15, 2016 suspended the security certificate of Uzhgorod airport until the violations are removed.
The service told Interfax-Ukraine that the violations revealed during the inspection affected the safety of flight.
At the same time, airport director Volodymyr Horynetsky noted that the airport has eliminated a number of violations in the protection system, while it still needs to build fence in the airport this year in accordance with the requirements.
At present the airport serves the flights of only Motor Sich on the Uzhgorod-Kyiv route, but it has no right to serve flights until the certificate is renewed.
