Ukraine cuts output of meat by 2.3%, milk by 2%, eggs by 20.8% in Jan 2016 - statistics
Milk production in Ukraine in January 2016 (excluding the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, part of the ATO zone) decreased by 2% compared to the same period in 2015, to 578,000 tonnes.
According to the State Statistics Service, meat production (live weight) in the country was 287,200 tonnes, which is 2.3% less than in January 2015.
Egg production fell by 20.8%, to 1.051 billion pieces.
As reported, with reference to statistical data, Ukraine in 2015 reduced production of meat by 1.4%, to 3.277 million tonnes, milk by 4%, to 10.682 million tonnes, while eggs by 14.3%, to 16.78 billion pieces.
