Ukrainian govt has almost $1.9 bln on currency account – finance ministry
Clear ending stock in foreign currency on the account of the Finance Ministry as of February 5, 2016 was $1.88 billion, Director of the debt policy department at the Finance Ministry Halyna Pakhachuk has said.
"Even under the worst scenario, these funds are enough until July," she said on February 12 at a roundtable on the debt market organized by the Finance Ministry.
As of early 2016, the government had $1.4 billion of clear ending stock in foreign currency.
Additionally, as of February 5, 2016, ending stock in hryvnias on the single treasury account reached UAH 18.5 billion.
