Ukraine to decide on situation around blocked Russian trucks after consultation with EU
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers is expected to adopt a decision on Monday, February 15, concerning the situation around the blocking of Russian trucks in some Ukrainian regions, the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry said in a press release posted on its website on Sunday.
"The Ukrainian cabinet's meeting at which an appropriate decision will be made concerning the situation [with the blocking of Russian trucks] has been set for February 15, 2016," it said.
The ministry also said that it had suggested holding daily meetings of the rapid response staff involving representatives of the Economic Development Ministry, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, the National Police and other agencies concerned.
"The main task of this staff is to constantly monitor the situation and formulate a coordinated proposal to be considered by the cabinet of ministers. At the moment, technical consultations are also being held with representatives of the European Commission and EU member states," the ministry said.
