Poroshenko invites investors to participate in modernization of Ukrainian GTS

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at the Munich Security Conference has called Russian gas transportation project Nord Stream 2 political and urged to invest in the modernization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system (GTS).

"The main objective of the Nord Stream 2 project is political. We invite investors to modernize the Ukrainian gas transportation system," presidential press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko wrote on Twitter.

President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, in turn, said that "Europe should fulfill its commitments to Ukraine and invest more in its economy."
