Oschadbank early repays UAH 3.447 bln of refinancing to NBU
State-owned Oschadbank (Kyiv) has early repaid the refinancing credit of UAH 3.447 billion to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), the bank's press service has reported.
"For the second time this year Oschadbank early returns the refinancing credit of the NBU. This is the sign that the bank has enough liquidity. In addition, the cost of the resource base of the bank would decrease," Oschadbank Board Chairman Andriy Pyshny said.
The bank said that in 2015 and early 2016, Oschadbank repaid over the half of its debt on refinancing credits from the NBU worth UAH 10.6 billion.
Oschadbank was founded in 1991. Its sole owner is the state.
Oschadbank ranked second among 123 operating banks in the country on October 1, 2015 by total assets (UAH 156.596 billion), according to the NBU.
