Demchyshyn asks Fiscal Service, SBU to check contracts for coal supply to Centrenergo, Ukrinterenergo
Ukraine's Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn has appealed to the State Fiscal Service and the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) with the request to check the legality of contracts for coal supply signed by PJSC Centrenergo and Ukrinterenergo.
According to the press service of the ministry, it is also planned to conduct unscheduled internal audits of these companies.
"The purpose of inspection is to clarify the legality of contracts for coal imports, matching the declared volumes with the actually delivered amount, the availability of coal quality and coal origin certificates and the definition of coal quality indicators, as well as determining the price parameters of the supplies," reads a statement.
If violations are revealed, the materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies for appropriate assessment.
"The results of the audit will enable Minister Demchyshyn to report to the public on the resonant issues of coal imports to state enterprises with reason, based on the relevant documents," the press service said.
