Odesa Port-Side Plant, Centrenergo should be put up for sales - Yatseniuk
Odesa Port-Side Plant and a number of energy companies in Ukraine should be put up for privatization as part of a campaign, which is expected to start this year, Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"In 2016, honest and transparent privatization should start in Ukraine. Odesa Port-Side Plant, and Centrenergo company should be put up for privatization, as well as other energy companies," Yatseniuk said during the '10 Minutes with the Prime Minister' TV program on Sunday.
According to Yatseniuk, the parliament should adopt a law which enables investors "to purchase state-owned facilities in an open, fair and transparent tender with the aim of attracting foreign investment, creating new jobs, and modernizing the Ukrainian economy and stripping the state companies of their political influence."
