Ukraine in January 2016 increased transit of natural gas to Europe and Moldova by 51.8% compared to the same period in 2015, to 6.406 billion cubic meters.
According to live data from PJSC Ukrtransgaz, gas transit via Ukraine to Europe in January 2016 amounted to 6.014 billion cubic meters, to Moldova 392.8 million cubic meters.
As reported, Gazprom in September 2014-February 2015 limited gas supply to Europe via Ukraine. Restrictions were introduced to counter reverse gas supplies from the EU to Ukraine.
Ukraine in 2015 increased transit of natural gas to Europe and Moldova by 7.9% compared to 2014, to 67.082 billion cubic meters, in particular gas transit to Europe through the territory of the country in 2015 was 64.161 billion cubic meters, to Moldova 2.921 billion cubic meters.
