Coal stocks in the warehouses of thermal power plants (TPPs) in Ukraine in the period from January 25 to February 1 fell by 0.8%, or by 17,800 tonnes, from 2.222 million tonnes to 2.205 million tonnes, national energy company Ukrenergo reported on its website.
In particular, the stocks of anthracite coal amounted to 872,600 tonnes (of which 136,000 tonnes at Luhansk TPP), those of gas coal and long-flame coal reached 1.332 million tonnes (of which 277,500 tonnes at Burshtyn TPP).
Ukrenergo said that energy consumption in the morning of February 1 was 21.221 GW, while 33 coal power units and two fuel oil power units at the TPPs generated 6.434 GW, the nuclear power plants (NPPs) had a capacity of 10.49 GW, hydroelectric power plants 1.962 GW, combined heat and power plants 2.279 GW, and alternative energy units 56 MW.
No energy supply was between mainland Ukraine and Crimea.
