The operators of Ukrainian and Hungarian gas transport systems – public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz and FGSZ Zrt – have discussed the principles of cooperation between the companies in 2016 and prospects for its expansion.
The press service of the Ukrainian company reported that Ukrtransgaz President Ihor Prokopiv, Ukrtransgaz First Vice President Myroslav Khimko, FGSZ CEO Janos Feher and the director of System Operation and Capacity Trade at FGSZ Zoltan Gellenyi took part in the meeting.
As reported, Ukrtransgaz and FGSZ on May 29, 2015 signed an agreement on the merger of cross-border gas pipelines (an interconnection agreement) between Ukraine and Hungary. The interconnection capacity in the direction of Hungary is 26 billion cubic meters per year, towards Ukraine - 6.1 billion cubic meters per year.
