Govt approves list of goods containing ODS that are imported and exported under licenses
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a list of goods that can contain ozone depleting substances (ODS) exports and imports of which is subject to licensing in 2016 (apart from goods transported in containers jointly with personal possessions).
The list is stipulated in cabinet resolution No. 1176 of December 30, 2015 on the approval of the list of goods exports and imports of which is to be licensed and quotas for 2016.
According to attachment No. 3 to the document, the goods include medicines containing mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or preventive treatment as pharmaceutical dosage forms (including medicines in the form of transdermic systems or in the package for retail trade; cosmetics, makeup or skin care products, apart from medicines, including UV protection creams and tanning creams; products for manicure and pedicure; hair care products; oral hygiene products, including powder and denture adhesive products; pre-shave shaving and after-shave products; body deodorants, bath products, perfumes and other bathroom products; air fresheners, room deodorizers; surface-active organic substances (SAS), liquid soaps or creams for retail trade and other products.
According to the resolution, the licenses to export and import goods included in attachment No. 3 are issued in line with the requirements of the Montreal protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer and they are issued by the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry. If goods listed in the attachment do not contain ODS, the package of documents for customs clearance of these goods does not contain licenses.
