Tax burden on payroll could be cut if simplified taxation scheme revoked
The tax burden on the payroll could be reduced more if some conditions are observed, and one of them is the expansion of the taxation base, including the revoking of the simplified taxation scheme, Deputy Finance Minister of Ukraine Olena Makeyeva has said.
"The tax burden on the payroll could be reduced more, but only under the following conditions: expansion of the taxation base (read as "revoking of all benefits, including the simplified taxation scheme"); revoking of a moratorium on inspections (read as "increase of tax discipline"); the increase of consumption taxes (excise duties, VAT)," she wrote on her Facebook page.
She said that the Finance Ministry proposed this in its draft tax reform.
"Who opposed this? Those who have tax benefits and preferences today (read as "rural areas are killed"); users of the simplified taxation scheme (read as "small business is killed"); tobacco and alcohol producers and others," she wrote.
