Ukrtransgaz repairs Soyuz gas pipeline's section after structure collapse
Ukrtransgaz in early hours of Tuesday finished repair of a section of the Soyuz trunk gas pipeline near the village of Horodylove, Khust district of Zakarpattia region, which caused gas self-ignition on January 1.
"This night the work to restore the section of the Soyuz gas pipeline after the structure collapse on January 1 was successfully finished," Ukrtransgaz Spokesman Maksym Beliavsky said.
The chief department of the National Police in Zakarpattia region reported that the structure collapse of the gas pipeline was caused by ground subsidence. The incident did not affect Russian gas transit to Europe.
