Russia fully halts transit of Ukrainian goods

Russia has fully halted the transit of goods from Ukraine via its territory as of January 4, 2016, the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry said.

"This Russian ban is nontransparent, unjustified and discriminatory. Thus, the Russians have violated their commitments, which in particular had been assumed within the framework of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Free Trade Area Treaty as of October 18, 2011," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
